Slick Roads Tonight As Snow Accumulates A Few Inches, Tapering Off Late

A weak area of low pressure will cross the region through early Monday morning bringing accumulating snow. Expect slow and slick travel conditions to develop tonight as the snow accumulates. While no heavy accumulations are expected, we anticipate from 1"-3 in the Capital Region and points northward. South and eastward, and westward into the Mohawk Valley, 2-5" will be more common. Steadier snow will taper to lingering flurries later tonight and linger into Monday morning.

Making history on this day in 1966, the Fonda Speedway, where the grand national championship of late-model stock car racing was preparing for a run.

Thousands of spectators came out, for what was considered the top sporting event ever to come to the area back then!
