SNOW ENDS BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 2AM - SLICK SURFACES INTO THE MORNING

The snow will kick out of the region from west to east between midnight and 2am leaving some slippery bridges, overpasses, parking lots and sidewalks as well as less traveled secondary roads into the morning hours as temperatures drop into the low and mid 20s with clearing skies prior to daybreak

July 24, 1971 - Cigarette sales in hospitals

You'd be hard-pressed to find a hospital that sells cigarettes now, but 40 years ago... about 70 percent of new york hospitals did.

On this day in 1971, we visited Schenectady's Ellis Hospital and found  them right on top of the candy in the gift shop!

Among one doctor's concerns: if cigarettes were banned, employees would be running errands for patients.
