Bitter Cold Today - Moderate to Heavy Snow Storm Late Sunday Night Into Monday

An arctic air mass combined with gusty winds from 25-30 mph through today will continue to lead to wind chills as low as -10 to -15 through this afternoon.  Then, tomorrow night through Monday, a large storm will track to the region's south, passing through the Tennessee valley and the Mid Atlantic region, then south of New England.  The Storm track appears will be favorable to bring accumulating snow to the region with a possibility for moderate to heavy amounts. Expect difficult travel conditions to develop late Sunday night, continuing through Monday.

May 28, 1969: GE worker protest

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:17 PM EDT
On this day back in our history in 1969,  Demonstrators from the Local 301 union picketed the Governor's mansion in Albany as Governor Nelson Rockefeller prepared to leave for his 2nd South American trip.

They were GE employees, upset that the state had spent 4 million dollars on turbines from Japan for the Gilboa Dam in Schoharie County, when GE was manufacturing its own in Schenectady.May 28, 1969: GE worker protest
