Greg Floyd reports on lawmakers spending taxpayer money in questionable ways -- but he also tells us when they save taxpayers money.
Congressman Bill Owens from the North County announced that he is returning to federal coffers $75,000 of the money he was allotted for office expenses in 2012. It's the fourth straight year Owen's has done it, bringing his grand total of savings to almost $400,000.
Congressman Paul Tonko has done the same, returning $95,000 from last year's budget bringing his grand savings total to $410,000.
Congressman Chris Gibson's office says they don't have a final number of office money but said, due to redistricting, they were forced to spend additional money to close three offices that were no longer in the district.
