Lawmakers reveal revised cyberbullying law

ALBANY -- The Albany County Legislature unveiled its second attempt at a cyberbullying law on Monday night.
The previous version that was introduced in 2010 was struck down earlier this month by the State's highest court. The law was deemed to be overreaching, and restrictive of free speech.
The new version is aimed at only protecting minors from hate speech and other forms of what would be considered cyberbullying.
Residents will have a chance to weigh in later this month at a public hearing.
