Four arrested, 2 on drug charges in Town of Stockport after raid.
TOWN OF STOCKPORT, NY (WRGB) According to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, four were arrested after a search warrant was executed in the Town of Stockport.
According to Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett, Deputies, with the assistance of State Police and other law enforcement recovered over 150 bags of heroin from a home on Atlantic Avenue back on Tuesday at around 10:30 PM.
Investigators say 35 year old Thomas Confer, Jr was charged with 5 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned and sent to the Columbia County Jail on $20,000 bail.
33 year old Meagan Svida, according to the deputies, was charged with 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was arraigned and to the Columbia County Jail on $5,000 bail.
Investigators say Charley Cintron, 39, was arrested on an outstanding Columbia County Family Court warrant. He was arraigned in Claverack Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $35,500 bail.
A forth, police say, was arrested for loitering.
Columbia County Sheriff David P. Bartlett says the arrestes came after tips from the public.
Sheriff Bartlett stated; “This investigation was a huge success largely due to the cooperation of all the agencies involved. As always we continue to aggressively target anyone spreading this poison throughout our community.
