AG's office won't investigate Glenville officer-involved shooting
GLENVILLE, NY (WRGB)--The state Attorney General will not investigate a deadly officer-involved shooting in Glenville.
A spokesperson for Eric Schneiderman's office says he only has authority to investigate if police kill a suspect who is unarmed, or if it's not clear if the suspect was armed.
Glenville Police say officers opened fire on Brian Skinner last month when he lunged at them with a knife.
Glenville Officer Ben Ferretti was shot by friendly fire during the incident.
He was released from the hospital last week.
