Albany fire company getting a new patch, designed by a student

ALBANY -- Some local firefighters are getting a new look -- and the designer isn't even out of high school.

Students at Tech Valley High School were asked to design a new patch for Albany Fire Department Engine 4, which covers the Washington Avenue Extension area.

They spent two months on the project, and came up with 24 patches.

Monday, officials announced the winning design, created by junior Isobella Grubb-Kovach.
