Albany Police: Two arrested, one accused of hiding shotgun in his pants
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) Police have arrested a two men, one accused of hiding a shotgun in his pants.
Police say on Monday, officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
Police then noticed a gravity knife on the driver's seat armrest.
The passenger, later identified as 24 year old Raymier Worthen, was found with a loaded sawed off 12 gauge shotgun shoved down his pant leg, according to police.
The driver, 24 year old Alton Franklin, was arrested. He's charged with criminal possession of a weapon and failing to signal.
Worthen has been charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both men were arraigned Tuesday morning in Albany City Criminal Court.
Franklin was arrested in April of 2018, charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and obstruction.
Worthen, according to police, was arrested in April of 2013 for a Robbery charge.
