Albany Police: Woman charged with attempted arson, accused of pouring gasoline on a home
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) Albany Police say a 42 year old woman was arrested, accused of attempting to set fire to a home.
Police say on Thursday at approximately 3:55 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Third Street for a report of a woman who had just poured gasoline onto the rear porch of a home.
Investigators say the homeowner saw a women, later identified as Monica Montgomery, pouring gasoline on the porch.
When the homeowner confronted her, Montgomery fled without igniting the fuel, according to police.
Montgomery was later identified and arrested by police. She's been arraigned, charged with attempted arson.
