BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Police conducting a traffic stop late Saturday morning found thousands of dollars' worth of heroin in the car.
Bennington Police say they stopped a Massachusetts-registered vehicle on School Street. During the stop, they say they found 240 bags of heroin and more than $300 in cash on the driver, Dean Carbone, 44, of Springfield, Mass. The heroin itself has a street value of about $3,000.
