CDTA lowers bus fare for local veterans
It's now becoming less expensive for local veterans to take the bus.
CDTA announced Tuesday a new way to honor those who have served. Veterans who qualify will now be able to ride the bus for half the cost.
CDTA says that vets can go right to the company's office office to apply.
They will be given a special card to use.
Says CDTA CEO Carm Brasile, "Qualified veterans will ride for half fare on CDTA buses. This is our small gesture of appreciation for the men and women who represent our country, who fight for our country, who give us our freedom."
CDTA says it hopes this program encourages more veterans to use the bus service.
