MENANDS -- In a ceremony at Saint Agnes Cemetery, 14 people were honored at the dedication of a historic African burial ground.

In 2005, the remains of 14 people were found during a construction project in Colonie. The remains are of one man, six women, five infants and two children.

It was discovered that they had been formerly enslaved Africans, and last year, they were laid to rest. Their names are not known.
