LANSINGBURGH, NY (WRGB) The Troy fire department is investigating another fire at a vacant building in Lansingburgh.

Crews responded to 77 2nd Avenue near 102nd Street. This is the fourth fire at a vacant building in Lansingburgh since late June.

On June 5th, there was a fire at a vacant building at 125th and 5th.

That fire sent flames shooting into the air and posed a problem for firefighters as the structure started to collapse, crews couldn't get in to fight it.

Two weeks prior to that in June, there was another arson of a vacant building at Northern and 7th.

Both of those are being investigated as arson.

Then last Tuesday crews responded to a small fire near the intersection of 5th Ave and 102nd near an auto repair shop.

The cause of that fire is still under investigation.

Troy Assistant Fire Chief Eric McMahon tells CBS 6 this morning's small fire was under control quickly - and they investigate all fires the same.

He says it started in the center here of the vacant building around midnight.

State fire is also here investigating.

The fire is out, as firefighters have left the scene- but state fire remains here taking samples
