Schenectady crews responding to two early morning fires
Schenectady, NY (WRGB) -- Firefighters are working two fires that broke out early Wednesday morning.
Calls for the first fire came in around 4:10 a.m. for flames on the railroad tracks over Green Street behind Boulevard Bowl.
Officials say two propane tanks going up and down the tracks were involved, but the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
One firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The second fire was reported just after 4:30 a.m. for a home located at 154 Elmer Avenue.
Deputy Fire Chief Don Mareno said the fire started on the second floor of a two-family home.
There's water damage on both floors, but no visible outside damage.
No one was hurt and the investigation is ongoing.
