Dog killed in Rensselaer fire

Fire investigators are looking into what started a house fire that claimed the life of a dog.

Rensselaer firefighters got the call to 10th Street just after four Saturday morning. When they arrived, fire officials say the house was engulfed in flames.

A resident tells CBS 6 that one dog survived, but one did not. Two cats are also unaccounted for.

The fire also impacted the house next door.
