Firefighters Go Pink to Fight Breast Cancer


October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the The Uniform Firefighters of Cohoes, IAFF Local 2562 have launched their 5th "Passionately Pink" campaign.

Friday, the money raised from the sales of last year's t-shirt sales was donated to ToLife.Org!. and the LiveStrong Program at the CDYMCA.

Also, this year's shirts went on sale. The back is designed by Cohoes High art student Jaise Gilbert. He gets $1 from every unit sold this year to help offset the cost of College of Design School. The rest will go to charities.

Shirts are also available at Cohoes Fire Department Central Station located at 25 Central Ave.

They are $15.00 and will be available through the end of October or until they run out.
