Man convicted in hit-and-run death of Guardsman to be sentenced
COLONIE -- The man who hit and killed a National Guard soldier will find out Friday how long he will spend behind bars.
Brian Tromans hit MSgt. Rudy Seabron while Seabron was walking along Watervliet-Shaker Road last January.
Tromans told investigators he thought he hit a deer,
He was convicted of leaving the scene without reporting an accident, and evidence tampering.
A charge of criminally negligent homicide was dropped.
Tromans faces up to seven years in prison.
