Man struck and killed by train in Columbia County
UPDATE: The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has identified the man hit and killed as 42-year-old Matthew Harris of Philmont.
Investigators say the result of an autopsy Tuesday was multiple trauma injuries from the impact of the train causing death.
At this time the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
But, Sheriff’s Office Investigators being assisted by Amtrak Police are continuing to investigate.

Stockport, NY (WRGB) The Columbia County Sheriff's Office tells us they're investigating an incident involving a man struck and killed by an Amtrak work train.
We're told the incident happened just before 2 a.m. Tuesday on the train tracks in the area of Station Road in the Town of Stockport.
Sheriff’s Deputies, Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Amtrak Police are working to identify the victim.
The deceased male was found north of the Columbiaville Trestle on the tracks.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages and investigators are working on identifying the victim.
