Police say large fight leaves 5 stabbed in Amsterdam


AMSTERDAM, NY (WRGB) Police in Amsterdam say they found 5 men stabbed after a parking lot brawl.

Police say they responded to reports of a fight on Saturday morning at around 2:45 AM on July 15 in the parking lot of Girard's on Bridge Street.

When police arrived, they said that they attempted to disperse the crowd, finding the victim of a stabbing.

While attempting to treat the victim, 26 year old Angela Santos was screaming an attempted to keep officers away from the stabbing victim, according to police.

Santos was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction.

Police say while taking Angela into custody, her sister Christina Stanos, 23, grabbed an officer around the neck. She was arrested, charged with harassment.

Officers determined that a total of five males had been stabbed in the incident. All of the victims were uncooperative upon being interviewed, according to investigators. Those stabbed were treated and released from the hospital.
