Pursuit ends with arrest of Gloversville woman
GLOVERSVILLE (WRGB) Nicole Kelly of Gloversville was arrested by New York State Police at Fonda on Sunday.
According to State Police, the 29-year-old Kelly was stopped by State Troopers on state route 5 in the Town of Mohawk for speeding. The State Police say that when an officer approached, Kelly took off. A chase ensued, and State Police say that Kelly continued toward Ephratah, where police terminated the chase. Kelly was later located in Johnstown by Fulton County Deputies and taken into custody.
State Police say a 9-year-old child was in the vehicle with her.
State Police charged Kelly with unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic charges. She was arraigned in the Town of Mohawk Court and is due back at a later date.
