Residents evacuated due to house fire in Troy

TROY, NY (WRGB) -- Troy Assistant Fire Chief Eric McMahon tells us crews responded to a reported structure fire call at 101 Hutton Street a little before 3 a.m Thursday.

Fire was heaviest in the back of the building

At one point 2 residents on the second floor had to be assisted out of the building by firefighters.

Nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.

Fire officials believe the building is salvageable.

The fire chief tells us no was injured.

The cause remains under investigation.
