BETHLEHEM -- The New York State Humane Association is offering $500 for the arrest and conviction of the person who left a dead dog on the side of Clapper Road in Selkirk last week.
Police say the dog was an older, black and white beagle, who had been denied proper care and veterinary treatment for some time.
It is not clear whether the dog was dead before it was placed in a garbage bag and left on the roadside.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Bethlehem Police.
