Driver ticketed after overnight crash in Niskayuna
NISKAYUNA (WRGB) - Police have found the driver of a car that crashed on Balltown Road in Niskayuna overnight.
It the crash happened shortly before 2:30am near the Environment One Corporation.
The car appeared to have crossed the yellow line and hit a utility pole. The pole snapped in half, bringing down a transformer and many wires.
Niskayuna Police say the driver was Devin Foster.
Police say he fled the scene and was later found at his home in Saratoga County.
"Through the investigation they were able to make contact with the registered owner, who advised us her daughter was supposed to have the vehicle, and this subject has a relationship with the daughter." Niskayuna Police Deputy Chief Michael Stevens said.
Police say Foster was given several tickets including leaving the scene of an accident, operating with a cell phone, & speeding.
No one was injured in the crash
We're told the road will be closed for several hours while crews repaired the poles and wires.
