Sheriff: Albany man sold crack, heroin
ALBANY -- An Albany man is behind bars on a drug sale charge.
Albany County Sheriff's Office investigators conducted an investigation into narcotics reportedly being sole at 263 Sheridan Ave. in the city of Albany. They received information that several people were involved in the sale of crack cocaine and heroin from the residence at that arrest. Investigators then purchased quantities of narcotics from an individual identified as Thomas M. Caserta, 44.
On April 18, Sheriff's investigators and members of the Albany Police Department’s Community Response Unit executed a warrant at that address. Caserta was arrested, and charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony.
Caserta was arraigned in the City of Albany Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
