State Police: Man arrested, accused of multiple counts of sexual abuse with children
WATERVLIET, NY (WRGB) State Police have arrested a Brunswick man, accused of multiple counts of sexual abuse involving children.
Trooper say 58-year-old Kelley Tremblay was arrested by Watervliet Police.
He's accused of having sexual contact with a 5 and 7 year old child at the Watervliet McDonalds, back on August 26.
"The case came in as a witness saw activity between an older man and some younger children that he found disturbing," said Watervliet PD Chief Mark Spain.
Tremblay was charged with Predatory Sexual Assault, a Class A-II Felony, and two counts of Sex Abuse in the first degree, which are felonies.
"Predatory sexual assault is an a-2 felony. There's not a lot of other felonies that are above that one, and so that's some serious time there," said Chief Spain.
He was remanded to Albany County Jail and is being held in lieu of bail, say police.
State Police have charged also charged Tremblay with Sex Abuse and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, accused of having sexual contact with a 7-year-old child.
The cases are being handled by the Albany County District Attorney's office and the Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office.
