State Police: Four hospitalized after head on collision in Sharon Springs
SHARON SPRINGS, NY (WRGB) State Police say four people were hospitalized after a head on crash on Sunday, June 10th.
Police say 49 year old James Delorey from CT was traveling eastbound on State Route 20 when he crossed the center line and crashed head on into an oncoming vehicle. He was transported to Albany Medical Center, last listed in stable condition.
10 year old Perrin Delorey was airlifted to Albany Medical Center Hospital with head and internal injury and is on life support, he later died from his injuries. The front seat passenger, Angela H. Ryan, 47, was was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with spinal and rib injuries. Police say she was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
The driver of the westbound vehicle, 63 year old Sherman Day of Mohawk was airlifted to Albany Medical Center Hospital with head and neck injury and was last listed in serious condition. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
His passenger, was uninjured in the crash.
Police are still investigating the crash.
