Tulip Fest kicks off with annual street scrubbing ceremony.
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) This weekend, thousands are expected to go to Washington Park to see 140-thousand tulips at this year's festival.
Saturday’s big event is the crowning of the tulip queen, but there's plenty to do at the festival with craft sales, a fine arts show, and a kids zone with a rock climbing wall and pony rides.
There's rain in this weekend's forecast -- but Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan says the festival goes on -- rain or shine.
