Police say Nebraska man was allegedly driving drunk with child hanging off trunk
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KHGI) —
Marcus Checketts, 47, of Grand Island, was arrested on Oct. 1, after police say they observed a 10-year-old boy hanging off the trunk of his car while he was driving in Grand Island.
According to police, Checketts was also speeding going 30 mph in a 25 mph zone. Police also say he admitted to drinking and had two other kids in the vehicle.
Checketts was arrested for DUI. He is also accused of operating a motor vehicle while impaired with person under 16 and driving under suspension-5th offense.
