YPFI: Legal fees for sexual harassment in the state legislature
ALBANY, NY (WRGB) -- Legal fees for sexual harassment in the state legislature seem like a never-ending expense and it's something you're paying for.
The latest contracts from October were just approved by state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and they show that the State Assembly just paid $150,000 for investigation of sexual harassment claims. The documents also show the State Senate spent $121,000 for legal fees for that and equal employment opportunity matters.
In all, that's $271,000 for outside counsel, despite the legislature employing dozens of full time lawyers.
