Beyond the Games: Taylor Dorado
NISKAYUNA, NY (WRGB)--Siena soccer returns to the pitch this Wednesday at Quinnipiac as MAAC play continues.
After finishing the non-conference portion of their schedule with a winning record, the Saints' are keeping expectations high as they look to return to the NCAA Tournament.
The Saints last qualified for the postseason two years ago, when goalkeeper Taylor Dorado was a senior at Guilderland.
Now, the sophomore is putting her team in the best position to win again.
The Section II product leads the MAAC in save percentage, and ranks 21st nationally with nearly seven saves per game.
Dorado has collected a pair of shutouts, including a 14-save masterpiece against mercer back in late August.
That performance resulted in what was her second-straight "Defensive Player of the Week" conference honor.
