Beyond the Games: Zeke Jackson
NISKAYUNA , NY (WRGB)--Latham native Zeke Jackson began his gymnastics career at two years old, and he quickly gained a reputation as one of the best gymnasts in the country.
His coach, Bob Piehler, has been there every step of the way.
And when Zeke's competition days were over, Piehler offered him a job at the gym.
The two are now training a third generation of gymnasts at Ace Gymnastics in Albany, which opened its doors in January.
They have a promising group under their roof right now, with the boys junior Olympic team.
As far as mentors go, Piehler isn't a bad one to have.
A national champion and nine-time all american at Springfield College, those are just a few of the lines on Piehler's extensive resume.
