Union's Foo, Vecchione named Hobey Baker finalists
SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB)--The Hobey Baker award is given annually to the best player in college hockey.
Today, we learned two of the top ten finalists for the prestigious honor come from right here in Schenectady.
Mike Vecchione and Spencer Foo have both been named finalists for the Hobey, marking just the sixth time multiple players from the same ECAC team have made the cut.
The skating Dutchmen duo spent most of the season on the same line, but were split up in February to give the team more depth
Union has not lost a game since.
Vecchione burst onto the national scene this year.
Foo, on the other hand, was an early contender for the Hobey last season, but has since taken his game to another level.
