2011-12 Season: Sat out due to NCAA transfer regulations...still has three years ofplaying eligibility remaining with Hofstra.

2010-2011 Season: On June 30, 2011, the Hofstra mens basketball team received a verbal commitment from Buie that he would be transferring from Penn State University to play for the Pride...appeared in only 11 games at Penn State before being indefinitely suspended by then-head coach Ed DeChellis in late December for a violation of team rules...averaged 5.8 points and 2 rebounds per game with a playing average of 15.2 minutes per game...scored a season high 14 points against Central Connecticut State.

High School/Personal: Rated the No. 87 recruit in the country by ESPNU...Played his first three seasons at Bishop Maginn High School in Albany before playing his senior year at State College (Pa.) High School...While at Bishop Maginn, earned conference player of the year honors as a junior with 18.4 points per game, after leading his team to a state championship as a sophomore in 2008 by averaging 17.1 points per game...Earned third-team All-New York State honors as a sophomore and second-team honors as a junior...After his family moved to State College his senior year, he averaged 20.8 points per game for the Little Lions...Born September 28, 1991...Is one of nine children...Younger half-brother of Talor Battle, who scored over 2,000 career points at Penn State from 2007-11...Was also recruited by Maryland, Pitt, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech and Marquette.
