A New England native, Cody comes to CBS 6 from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where his live and in-depth reporting caught the attention and praise of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Milwaukee Press Club.
Prior to his time in the Midwest, Cody also spent four years in the South, anchoring and reporting in Montgomery, Alabama, the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement.
He was twice named `Best Reporter` by the Alabama Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
His award winning reporting ranges from covering natural disasters throughout the country to following a political effort to overthrow a sitting governor. He also represented his station in Boston, telling the stories of local runners a year after the Marathon Bombings.
Cody has been honored with numerous awards and accolades from the Associated Press, along with regional EMMY and Edward R. Murrow awards.
Cody grew up in a small town near Bangor, Maine. He now lives in the Capital Region with his wife, two dogs, a cat, and little personal space.
In his free time, Cody enthusiastically tries his hand at home brewing and exploring the Capital Region`s bustling craft beer scene. He also strums a few strings on his guitar from time to time.
