With more than a decade of experience as an award-winning Broadcast Meteorologist, Craig Gold brings to the CBS6 family a great understanding of all things weather.
His contagious energy and smile make him a great fit for our Morning newscasts.
He's covered it all from crippling snowstorms, ice storms, tornadoes and hurricanes.
His career has taken him to TV stations all over the country- Florida, Kansas and now back to his home state of New York!
He last worked at CBS6's sister station in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Craig loved his 5 years there, but ultimately missed the change in seasons, pumpkin and apple picking, watching the leaves change color.. things like that.
Craig's quite familiar with how harsh winters can be in the Northeast, having grown up on the North Shore of Long Island.
But, he's perfectly content trading those palm trees and beaches for tall oaks and mountains!
Speaking of Mountains, it was in the Adirondacks that Craig discovered his passion for skiing as a child- so don't be shocked if you bump into him at any of the area's ski spots!
In his free time when he's not skiing, you might find him hacking it up on the area's many public golf courses during the warmer months.
He also loves spending time with his 55 pound lapdog of a yellow lab mix, Sasha.
