Hubert Wiggins joined the CBS 6 news team in October 2015. Hubert came to the Capitol Region from Toledo, Ohio where he had spent six years as an anchor and reporter at the NBC affiliate, WNWO. Prior to that Hubert worked as a reporter for the FOX affiliate in Albany, Georgia. Hubert has also worked at WNET in New York and WVEC, the ABC affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia. Hubert considers joining CBS 6 sort of a homecoming; he was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Mt. Vernon and graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in The Bronx.

While at WNWO Hubert's work was recognized by the Toledo Press Club and he was part of the WNWO team that won an Ohio Associated Press award for a story that became known as "The Suitcase 6", in which a man abandoned six newborn puppies in a suitcase by a convenience store dumpster. Hubert says the highlight of his time in Toledo was reporting from Haiti on three separate occasions. In March 2012, June 2013 and November 2014 Hubert documented the work of an Ohio charity in the village of Savanette, Haiti.

Hubert loves politics and got his fill of it during the 2012 presidential campaign. He covered all 5 of President Obama's visits to Northwest Ohio from June 2011 to November 2012 and he had a sit down interview with Mitt Romney in February 2012, as well as two campaign rallies with Vice President Biden and one with former President Bill Clinton.

Hubert attended Brigham Young University. He likes horse racing and golf and debating politics. Feel free to contact him at if you have a cool story idea.
