Schenectady County budget hearing Monday night
SCHENECTADY - Schenectady county residents will have a chance to voice their opinions Monday night on a budget proposal for next year.
The measure raises property taxes by 3/4 of a percent. That 's compared to a six-percent increase that went into effect this year.
The plan would also cut 24 county jobs. 78 have been cut since 2008.
The public hearing begins tonight at 6 at the county office building on State Street.
A vote on the budget is scheduled for Tuesday.
