'Move Over' law nabs drunk driver

PRINCETOWN -- A Cobleskill man is facing drunk charges because he didn't move over for the flashing lights.
State Police say a trooper was pulled over on I-88 in Princetown assisting another car when 29-year-old Nathaniel Burgess drove by without switching lanes, a violation of the "Failure to Move Over" law.
The law requires that when an emergency vehicle is on the side of a highway,
drivers must switch lanes to be further away from the emergency vehicle.
The trooper pulled Burgess and gave him a breathalyzer.
Burgess blood alcohol content measured .18%.  He was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI.
He'll appear in Princetown Court on April 10.
