Low pressure will quickly develop and move south of the New England coast through Wednesday night as colder air arrives to produce a moderate to heavy snow storm for much of the region.  Snow will develop quickly Wednesday morning a fall heavily at times through the afternoon and evening before tapering off and ending before daybreak on Thursday.  Expect difficult travel conditions with snow packed roads and low visibility through the duration of this storm.  Click Here for the CBS6 Weather Forecast Page

Cairo man dies in motorcycle accident

CAIRO - New York State Police have confirmed the identity of a man killed on a motorcycle in Cairo Wednesday evening.

Police say 56-year-old Donald Parkinson of Cairo was traveling east on Route 23 when he failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Route 85.

Parkinson was struck by a pickup truck entering the intersection.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

CAIRO - A man is dead after a motorcycle accident involving two cars.

Police say the accident happened Wednesday evening around 5:00 at the intersection of Routes 23 and 32 in Cairo.  The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  The drivers of the truck and car involved were not seriously injured.

The accident closed the intersection for about 3 hours.
