Significant Winter Storm Possible From Monday Night Through Tuesday

An area of low pressure will track to our south through Monday.  Some light snow should develop through Monday afternoon and evening as a result.  The low pressure will then rapidly intensify off of the Northeast coast Monday night and Tuesday.  Uncertainty remains as to the exact track of this low pressure, but if it tracks close enough to the coast, portions of the area could see a significant snowfall.

Sequestration may impact local doctor shortage

ALBANY – The impact of the sequestration is being felt far and wide.  Head Start programs have been gutted, air traffic control towers have been closed and White House tours have been cancelled.  Another area bracing for big cuts, hospitals—particularly, hospitals with medical schools and those that do medical research.

CBS6 has been reporting on the doctor shortage locally for months and cuts as a result the sequester will only make matters worse.  In the video above, Jennifer Lewke explains how local hospitals are preparing for funding cuts.
