Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Prescription drug drop-off day in Latham

COLONIE-- Colonie Town Supervisor Paula Mahan and Police Chief Steven Heider announced that on Saturday, April 27th the Colonie Police
Department, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration,
will once again be hosting a National Take Back Day.

It's being held to help remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from medicine cabinets by asking people to turn in expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical drugs.

Anyone can hand them over to law enforcement Saturday from 10 a.m.  to 2 p.m. in the main courtroom of the Public Safety Center at 312 Wolf Road in Latham.

Certain restrictions do apply -- intra-venous solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted due to potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens.
