Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Tonight into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England tonight, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty winds at times, causing blowing and drifting snow. There's the potential for whiteout conditions at times, leading to dangerous travel late tonight through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Cops: Malta man drinking screwdriver charged with DWI

MALTA - A traffic stop in Malta leads to a DWI charge for a Gansevoort man.

State troopers stopped 50-year-old Roger Froude after he was spotted erratically driving at the round-a-bout at the intersection of Route 67 and Route 9.

Troopers spotted an open container of vodka and orange juice in his cupholder.  Froude's blood alcohol content after a breathalyzer was 0.19%.

Froude is charged with aggravated DWI, released on multiple tickets and scheduled to appear Thursday, April 11, 2013.

An animal control officer secured two dogs that were in Froude's truck at the time.
