Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Upstate NY man charged with homicide after crash

LLOYD (AP) -- A Hudson Valley man is facing homicide charges after a crash that killed a motorcyclist.
Town of Lloyd police tell local media that 26-year-old Francisco Vasquez-Cruz, of Poughkeepsie, was driving with his headlights off when he collided with the motorcycle at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The motorcyclist, 41-year-old Fernando Diaz Jr. of Wallkill, died at a hospital.
Vasquez-Cruz was arraigned on charges of vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated and driving without a license. He was jailed on $50,000 bail. Court officials weren't available to say if he has a lawyer.
