Snowstorm Well Underway - Periods of Heavy Snow and Difficult Travel into Tonight

Snowfall rates of 1" to at times 2" per hour are likely this afternoon and this evening across most of the area as low pressure passes to the region's south.  This will cause rapid accumulations and low visibility producing hazardous travel conditions.  The storm will begin winding down after 10-11pm with accumulating snow ending from west to east between 1am and 4am Thursday. Motorcycle rider pinned under car in Albany Co. crash

SELKIRK -- A serious motorcycle accident in Albany County sent a man to Albany Med on Friday morning.
The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Route 144 in Selkirk between Maple Avenue and Exit 22 on the Thruway.
Investigators tell CBS6 a car hit the back of the bike and rescue crews has to jack up the car to rescue the rider trapped underneath the car.
The identity and condition of the man on the motorcycle has not yet been released. The identity of the person driving the car has also not yet been released. It is unknown if the driver of the car will face any charges.
