Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

Police: Man with revoked drivers license arrested on DWI and other charges

STILLWATER - Police have arrested a Schuylerville man after trying to escape pursuit after being caught using his cell phone while driving.

Stillwater Police attempted to stop 38-year-old Harold Bell, Jr. for a cell phone violation; however Bell initially refused to stop for police.

After a foot chase in a brush area, police arrested him.

An investigation revealed that Bell had a revoked driver’s license with 11 active suspensions, and the vehicle he was driving was not inspected.

Bell has been charged with felony unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, DWI, un-inspected motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle while using a cell phone.

He has been arraigned in Stillwater Town Court and later transported to Saratoga County Jail where he was being held on bail.
