Springfield man arrested on murder charge

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Springfield police have arrested a 22-year-old city man and charged him with murder.
The Republican reports that Benjamin Rivera was arrested on a warrant at about 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Police have not announced who Benjamin Rivera is charged with killing.
There have been nine homicides in the city this year, and there have been no announced arrests in six of them.
The latest killing was late Saturday night when 19-year-old Christian Graves was found shot in the city's Forest Park neighborhood. Police have said they had leads in that case.
Mayor Domenic Sarno says he understands police have made progress in at least two of the slayings.
It's not clear if Rivera has a lawyer.
