There remains considerable uncertainty in the track and intensity of an anticipated coastal storm from Wednesday afternoon through early Thanksgiving morning, but confidence is increasing for a storm to bring accumulating snow to much of the region which would cause travel difficulty.  Details on amounts and timing will become more clear over the next twelve to twenty four hours.  Keep up to date on the forecast.

80th Year for Farmers Market

ALBANY - The 80th anniversary season of the oldest and largest farmers market in the area is underway.

The Capital District Farmers Market has locally grown produce, flowers, plants, fish, exotic meets, savory baked goods and prepared foods.

The market, located at 318 Broadway in Menands, is open Saturdays through October, rain or shine, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Customers may also purchase fresh goods from the farmers Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-8 a.m., or the wholesalers Monday-Friday from 5 a.m.-noon.

Saturday events include:
Lawn, Garden, Tractor, Truck Day on 6/8
Strawberry Festival on 6/22
Moped & Scooter Rally on 7/13
Corn Festival on 7/20
Spotlight Newspapers' Family Day on 8/10
Harvest Festival on 9/14
Pumpkin Festival on 10/12.

Most special events also include hay wagon rides and pedal tractors.
