Developing Storm: Snow To Increase in Coverage and Intensity After Midnight

A major Nor'easter now developing off the mid Atlantic coast will put eastern New York and western New England on its western side through Tuesday.  Snow will become steadier from SE to NW across the region after midnight and towards daybreak Tuesday with snowfall of varying intensity through Tuesday evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 20-30 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions into Tuesday night. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 8"-14" are expected.

11 arrested for welfare fraud

ALBANY COUNTY -- Eleven people in Albany County were arrested on welfare fraud charges. The total amount of money defrauded in these arrests totals over $142,000. A collaborative investigation between the Albany County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Social Services resulted in the following arrests:

Danielle Montgomery, 35, Cohoes
- Accused of failing to report her income, collected $4,295 of benefits not entitled to

Donna Weldman, 51, Selkirk
- Accused of failing to report correct household income, collected $5,118 of benefits not entitled to
- Charged with felony Grand Larceny, felony Welfare Fraud, felony Offering a False Instrument for Filing

Yumbula Mulaliki, 31, Albany
- Accused of falsely reporting he was a US citizen when he was an illegal alien, collected $4,657.57 of benefits not entitled to
- Charged with felony Grand Larceny, felony Welfare Fraud felony Offering a False Instrument for Filing

Latasha McNair, 32, Albany
- Accused of filing false daycare billing statements, collected $2,722.74 of benefits not entitled to
- Charged with felony Grand Larceny, felony Welfare Fraud, felony Offering a False Instrument for Filing

Brenda McClendon, 30, Albany
- Accused of submitting false daycare billing statements, collected $10,559.50 of benefits not entitled to
- Charged with felony Grand Larceny, felony Welfare Fraud, felony Offering a False Instrument for Filing

Anthony Sanders, 46, Albany
- Accused of failing to report workers compensation to DSS, collected $4,418 of benefits not entitled to

Christina Tziakas, 35, Cohoes
- Accused of failing to report correct household income, collected $5,233 of benefits not entitled to
