Nor'easter to Bring a Heavy to Major Snowfall Monday Night into Tuesday Night

A major Nor'easter is expected to develop south of New England Monday night, potentially getting stuck near Cape Cod into Tuesday before moving away Tuesday night.  This storm will bring heavy snow and gusty wind at times causing blowing and drifting snow, potential whiteout conditions at times leading to dangerous travel late Monday night through Tuesday.  Snow accumulations of 10" to 20" will be possible, especially in the Hudson valley and across western New England with amounts up to 10" in the Mohawk valley and western Catskills.

UPDATE: Police: Man charged with DWI after hitting woman in crosswalk

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name and hometown of the woman who died after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street in eastern New York.
Police in Saratoga Springs say Monday that 55-year-old Jamie Joe McBride was from Mukilteo (muh-kihl-TEE'-oh), Wash., near Seattle. Her name had been withheld because investigators said they were having difficulty contacting her family.
Police say McBride died Friday night at Albany Medical Center after being hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street in Saratoga earlier that afternoon.
Officials say she was in a crosswalk and had the right of way.
Authorities have charged 28-year-old Paul Nicholson II of Saratoga Springs with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He's being held in jail on $100,000 bail. It couldn't be determined if he has a lawyer.

SARATOGA SPRINGS - A man is arrested for driving while intoxicated after hitting a woman crossing a Saratoga Springs street.

Saratoga Springs Police say 28-year-old Paul Nicholson II of Marion Avenue in Saratoga Springs was making a right turn off of Hamilton Street and struck a woman in the crosswalk on Ballston Avenue at around 3:40 Friday afternoon.

The woman was transported to Saratoga Hospital with serious head and chest trauma, and then transferred to Albany Medical Center where she later died.  Her name was withheld by police until family can be notified.

Nicholson was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

Further charges are pending, police are still investigating.
